Joanna assisted me through my labor and delivery experience. I can honestly say that my experience was a positive thing because of her presence and expertise. Joanna started visiting me a couple of months prior to my due date and we began planning. She was thorough in her knowledge as well as her questions about my personal preferences. No matter the matter, she had answers or ways to find them. From labor techniques and hospital regulations, to resources for placenta encapsulation. I was amazed and grateful for the way she consistently took my preferences into consideration and personalized the entire experience.
Joanna was thoughtful and kind. When I went into labor, she brought raspberries, cereal (at my request,) a birthing ball, LED strip lights for ambient lighting, a diffuser with oils, and spiked stress balls for helping manage contractions. She also had let me borrow some books for education on breathing and birthing. She brought a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude and a readiness for anything.

Joanna helped in more ways than I asked for or expected, from touchy situations with the father of my child in the delivery room, to holding my hands while I had contractions. She took walks with me. She laughed with me and cried with me. She helped me with pain management and taught me breathing exercises for different parts of labor. She held my leg while I was pushing, post-epidural. She set the room to have it's own feel rather than just a typical hospital room. She braided my hair for me. She was fantastic with keeping things rolling during the labor process. She displayed great communication, sensitivity and flexibility. She's kind, professional, knowledgeable and now a good friend. Joanna also took great photos for me so you can add photographer to that list.
Due to unforseen physical circumstances, my son was born via Cesarean after 37 hours of labor. Joanna was by my side through it all, then she stayed after the fact to help me and my sweet baby boy. I am forever grateful for her presence.
Thank you, Joanna. ❤

I found Joanna at 37 weeks pregnant. There wasn't much time, but I met her and automatically loved her vibes. She sent me informative details on how to prep for what was to come and even helped assist me in looking for a new midwife. Once I was in active labor Joanna arrived right on time to assist me and keep me focused through the roaring contractions. Joanna was very involved, she made sure I stayed hydrated, & her back massage was awesome in relieving pain during the wild time. I forgot to mention she was also 20 weeks pregnant and still got down on her knees to assist me in the tub. Overall, she was the best doula I've ever encountered and I would recommend her to everyone. Thank you for all that you do Sweet Joanna.

Joanna was the best doula I could have asked for, I was not going to have a doula for my birth as I didn't think I really needed one and they seemed to be so expensive but my midwife strongly encouraged me to look a bit more into it and maybe just put some feelers out, Within a week I was put in contact with Joanna and I fell in love with her She helped me achieve my VBAC at home which was something I had been wanting since I was a little girl, She helped keep me and my husband grounded with reminders on how to breathe, what positions would most likely help and was seriously better then any pain killer I could have asked for. Also she did all this while 8 months pregnant herself which is amazing I will be using her again if and when I have another baby and highly recommend her to anyone who is looking.
